Destiny 2 Story
After successfully defeating countless minions of the Darkness in the original Destiny and its subsequent expansions, Destiny 2 re-casts players as the resurrected warriors known as Guardians.
The Last City, the Guardian's stronghold and home of The Traveler, are assaulted and captured by an invading Cabal force known as The Red Legion. Led by Dominus Ghaul, the Legion saps the Guardians of their light and attempts to capture the power of The Traveler for themselves. Guardians must fight alongside one another to regain their Light and defeat the Red Legion before they can gain control of the system's most powerful entity.
Destiny 2 Gameplay
Destiny 2 features a similar combination of first-person shooter and RPG elements as the original did. Players create a Guardian as one of three classes, or imports one from their previous game's save, then accept story missions, side quests and other tasks that will grant them more experience with which to increase their characters power.
Once the main campaign has been completed, players can take part in special Strike missions, Raids and other activities that will reward them with more powerful gear as they defeat more minions of the Darkness.
