With over a decade of experience in creating these types of games, FromSoftware has crafted a genre-defining masterpiece in Elden Ring that sets new standards. They're not just sticking to their old strengths; they're also bravely venturing into an open world. It's visually stunning, like Breath of the Wild's art direction. It encourages independent exploration, offering complete freedom in choosing your path. FromSoftware's signature excellence shines through in its bosses, combat, enemy diversity, level design, and the remarkable soundtrack. The only slight downside is that the mini-dungeons can get a bit repetitive towards the end, as their bosses are quite similar. However, they always reward you decently. Elden Ring is a gaming masterpiece, an enthralling adventure that keeps you captivated, and a timeless classic that easily ranks among the finest games ever created. It's a must-play for any gaming enthusiast.
Absolutely perfect. The best game I’ve ever played and I’ve played a lot I have 300 hours and it’s addictive. So many bosses and places to explore. I mean just recently there was a sub Area that I found with over 300 hours in the game. Excellent characters but you can’t get too attached to them, amazing soundtrack. Makes me want to pull my hair out 24/7 but it’s good. Would seriously recommend even if you aren’t into this type of game
Absolutely amazing game that I will remember forever. Some critiques are valid, namely that it tends to drag a bit in the last third, but this game SLAPS
As cool as this games open world is, I much prefer the level design and intricately woven together areas of previous Fromsoft titles. Dark Souls, Bloodbourne and Sekiro already felt massive in scale despite not being open world, not sure if we really needed this to be open world. I wouldn’t mind it as much if I didn’t have to go through what felt like the same 5 mini dungeons 1,000 times over. BUT, the legacy dungeons in this game stand among the series best. And all the main bosses in this game are incredible, the enemy design all around is phenomenal. In the end, this is big dark souls, for better or worse.
Just way too difficult and I also found myself feeling lost where I had no idea where to go next in order to advance the story. Terrible experience. Do not understand how this won GOTY or how it would be considered for GOTY.

This game blew me out of the water! When I first heard about Elden Ring, I was like "meh", but when I finally decided to give it a try and oh boy was it worth it. The map is huge, and there is so much content to do. Completing everything the game has to offer to the last nook and cranny will take over 150 hours for an average player, and it never gets boring.
The only negative thing I have to say is how the difficulty curves. It was a steady curve for the most part, but when you get to the endgame the difficulty spikes significantly, and suddenly you're struggling with the most basic enemies again. The whole game is frustrating because of the difficulty, which for a souls game isn't a problem, but the endgame was a new level of frustration, and took away from some of the fun from my experience. But who knows, maybe I was just playing unoptimally.
Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes difficult games.
I wouldn’t recommend this game to a single person on the planet
El besto souls y el besto mundo abierto, que más quieres?
The feeling of playing a massive game while your friends also play, and sharing your discoveries and tragedies... unmatched. It isn't the same experience when the game has been out for a while and everything you discover has been documented on a dozen different wikis.
