MLB The Show 24 News
This game does not work on the Nintendo Switch. It should be removed from the Nintendo store. Continuing to sell it is irresponsible and will make it difficult for people to trust that content from the Nintendo store works. Clear fraudulent activity by the developer to keep selling something that doesn't work. DO NOT BUY IT DOES NOT WORK
Straight copy and paste trash. Where they remove things each year. Oh but they added being able to be a girl now.
If you want to play an incredibly mid game then this is your go to. It seems like 12 months of development led them to hair physics and the ability to create a female character... literally no other large scale developments for road to the show or franchise. If this game had not come out on gamepass there is literally no shot that I would spend money on it. The developers seem to care maybe a little bit more than 2K or EA but that bar is already incredibly low so im not that impressed. It's fine just little to no large scale development.
first time I bought an MLB game since '20, so I can't speak to how different it is from the immediate previous edition which is what a lot of people's gripe tends to be with sports games (mine included). It does feel like a significant improvement over the last edition I played in terms of content and modes, which is great, I definitely appreciate that there's a lot of stuff to do, although most of that is online/Diamond Dynasty based. Hitting and pitching feel solid, no complaints there.
Road to the Show still feels lackluster compared to career modes in NBA 2K for example, but I appreciated the addition of the female player. I have a baby sister and I've never seen her happier than when she got to play as herself in the mode.
Same old game different day, the announcer's commentary is amateur and annoying!
